The Performing Arts offerings from CSP are all focused around capoeira and other cultural expressions from Brazil. Capoeira Social Project has developed a robust program focused on a host of Brazilian culture rhythms, both dance and instrumentation.

While technically a martial art, Capoeira is done to music and is rhythmically based. Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music, and is sometimes referred to as a game. It was developed in Brazil mainly by African descendants with native Brazilian influences, probably beginning in the 16th century.
